Terms of Service

These terms apply to all services provided by 1st Call Auto Locksmiths (“we”, “us”, “our”) to our customers (“you”, “your”). By engaging our services, you agree to these terms.

1. Services

We provide mobile auto locksmith services including car key replacement, emergency vehicle unlocking, key and fob programming, and ignition barrel repair or replacement. All work is carried out at your chosen location within our service area of Wisbech and approximately 45 miles around.

2. Quotes and pricing

Quotes are based on the information you give us. Final pricing may vary if the work differs from what was described or if additional parts are required. We will always inform you of any change before proceeding.

3. Proof of ownership

We reserve the right to request proof of vehicle ownership (V5C and photo ID) before carrying out any service, particularly key replacement and emergency unlocking. If satisfactory proof cannot be provided, we may decline the work. A call-out fee may still apply.

4. Payment

Payment is due on completion of the work. We accept cash and most major card payments. Prices include VAT where applicable.

5. Warranty

New keys, fobs, and ignition barrels supplied and fitted by us carry a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects, subject to fair use. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, water damage, accidental damage, or attempts at repair by others.

6. Cancellation

If you need to cancel a booking, please give us as much notice as possible by phone. Cancellations made after we have dispatched may incur a call-out charge to cover our time and travel.

7. Liability

We take every care to carry out our work safely and without damage to your vehicle. In the unlikely event of damage caused by our negligence, our liability is limited to the reasonable cost of repair. We cannot accept liability for pre-existing faults, consequential loss (such as missed appointments, hire car costs, or loss of earnings), or delays caused by factors outside our reasonable control.

8. Emergency unlocking

We use non-destructive techniques wherever possible. In rare cases, destructive entry may be the only option — we will always explain this and get your agreement before proceeding.

9. Complaints

If you’re not satisfied with our service, please contact us directly by phone (07986 237644) or email (1stcallautolocks@gmail.com) so we can put things right.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.

Last updated: April 2026. These terms are a good-faith starting point and do not constitute legal advice. We recommend having them reviewed by a solicitor before launch.
